As the rain begins to fade out in the Valley, snow levels will be dropping in the Sierra, with as much as 7 to 10 inches expected to accumulate Monday.

The heaviest snow arrives Monday night and into Tuesday, with 3 to 5 feet expected at the highest peaks through Thursday.

Rain showers will also increase early Tuesday orning for the Sacramento region and is expected to continue into Wednesday night.

By 3 a.m. Wednesday, Sacramento and Marysville could get more than 2 inches of additional precipitation with the next round of wet weather. Meanwhile, Blue Canyon will likely see 7+ inches of rain.
